Get answers to common questions about Lip Waxing.
Some clients feel brief stinging as hair is removed, but discomfort is short-lived—usually a few seconds to a few minutes. We use soothing techniques and cool compresses to minimize pain; sensitivity varies, and regular waxing often reduces discomfort over time.
Most clients enjoy hair-free skin for two to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormonal factors. With consistent appointments, regrowth tends to become finer and slower, extending the interval between services.
Yes—our estheticians assess skin sensitivity during consultation and use gentle wax formulations plus calming pre- and post-care. Patch tests are available for concern; we may recommend waiting or alternative hair removal if your skin is highly reactive.
Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 48 hours prior, and keep skin clean and dry. Trim very long hairs if necessary, and avoid sun exposure to irritated skin. Inform your technician about medications or recent treatments that affect sensitivity.
Apply a soothing, alcohol-free lotion or aloe gel and avoid heavy makeup, hot showers, saunas, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and keep the area clean and moisturized.
When performed correctly by trained professionals, risks are minimal. Temporary redness or mild irritation can occur, but scarring is rare. Repeated inflammation or improper care may cause pigmentation changes—follow aftercare and consult us if abnormal signs persist.
