No, Add Iron Work is performed on dry hair. If your hair is oily or product-heavy we may recommend a wash before appointment — note that shampoo, conditioner and blow dry are not included in this service.
Duration varies by hair type, humidity and care. Generally curls or straight styles last anywhere from one day to several days with proper products and minimal moisture exposure; touch-ups can extend longevity.
Yes — our stylists assess condition first. Lightly processed or color-treated hair can be safely styled at adjusted temperatures; severely compromised hair may require a conditioning or trim prior to avoid further damage.
When done correctly with proper heat settings and protection, minimal additional damage occurs. We use techniques and recommend heat protectant products; disclose any prior chemical treatments so we can adjust temperature and approach.
It's optional. We provide basic styling products and heat protectants, but if you prefer a specific serum, spray or finishing product bring it along so we can tailor the result to your preference and hair needs.
Add Iron Work appointments typically take twenty to sixty minutes depending on hair length, density and desired style complexity. Please book accordingly and arrive with dry hair; consult with us if you need an estimated time for your specific hair.
